Murray has spent his career endlessly fascinated by understanding what makes people work. That curiosity has taken him across diverse industries, countries and careers from operational management to advising boards and CEOs.
Murray works closely with C-suit leaders across ASX50 organisations, with deep experience in financial and professional services. He has extensive experience helping executives and their teams strengthen their self-awareness, refine their impact and navigate high stakes leadership moments, whether they’re stepping into new roles, shaping culture, or harnessing the opportunities emerging from AI and new technologies.
His career blends senior in-house experience with global consulting. Murray led the organisational strategy practice for a major Australian consultancy and previously served as Global Head of Talent and Leadership for Macquarie Group, which gave him first-hand insight into the realities and pressures of executive life. Most recently, he was a Senior Partner in an executive coaching firm, working closely with Boards and top teams on leadership performance, succession and effectiveness.
Over the years, Murray has supported leaders through defining moments: helping a newly appointment CEO of a major bank galvanise their leadership team, building a market-leading leadership development suite for an ASX10 company, and guiding the identification and development of future C-suit successors.
Murray brings a calm, thoughtful and commercially grounded mindset, looking to ask – and help answer – the questions that genuinely move leaders and their organisations forward. He is an IECL-accredited coach with postgraduate qualifications in change management and design thinking, along with accreditation and experience using a wide range of psychometric and other diagnostic tools.
