Our women in leadership programs aim to support women to focus on their own aspirations, development goals and consider the impact they would like to have.
At People Measures, we value diversity and are continually frustrated by the underrepresentation of women in key decision-making roles in the Australian workforce (and globally). The Workplace Gender Equality Agency analyses annual data to track the shift in gender balance in the workforce, and unfortunately, although it is moving in the right direction, that movement is glacial in pace (the current gender pay gap is 22.8%).
We aspire to make an impact on the current stats, by supporting women to develop in line with their interests and aspirations.
Our programs – including our flagship WILD Program – provide an opportunity for women to come together to explore what it takes for women to exercise leadership and take up authority in leadership roles in Australia. The programs are not about ‘fixing’ women but looking at leadership through the lens of gender. Key to our women in leadership programs is the question ‘What does leadership look like when it looks like you?’
We look at leadership work as identity work and in this context explore how gender bias and organisational and societal barriers impact women taking up leadership roles. Once aware of gender bias and other systemic barriers, women are less susceptible to their effects and more likely to put in place strategies to facilitate their leadership work. Furthermore, these women are more likely to create environments that encourage other women into leadership roles.
Our women in leadership programs aim to support women to focus on their own aspirations, and development goals and to consider the impact they would like to have.
WILD (Women in Leadership Development) is our flagship public program, open to women from across sectors and industries.
Find out more about the program and see upcoming workshop dates on our WILD Program page or to secure your place for the next WILD program you can register online or email wild@peoplemeasures.com.au
Women’s leadership and development programs can also be designed to integrate group or individual assessments, psychometrics and coaching. By combining leadership development with assessments, we can provide a comprehensive understanding of individual leadership strengths and areas for growth.
The leadership development elements support group learning and development, and individual coaching sessions create a more personalised and impactful learning experience by tailoring the sessions to an individual’s specific strengths, challenges and aspirations.
We are often asked if we can design and facilitate an 'in-house' WILD program specifically for one organisation. We can, and regularly do work with clients, sometimes to deliver our WILD program for the organisation, and sometimes to design a women in leadership program tailored to their organisational needs.
Program content can be adapted to participant level and your organisation’s capability-build needs. Foundational elements, typically included in our women in leadership programs include:
We offer 2-day through to 7-day program options and can deliver with a mix of virtual or in person workshops.
