Desney is an organisational psychologist with over 20 years experience in assessment, leadership development, coaching and talent management. She has worked with a wide range of organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors locally and globally. Desney holds a Master of Organisational Psychology and has completed additional education in adaptive leadership, executive coaching, team coaching, psychometric assessment and ACT wellbeing. Prior to joining People Measures in 2018, she was the Director of a boutique consultancy and spent 7 years as a Foreign Exchange Broker in the global financial markets where she managed a team of currency traders providing brokerage services to banking and financial clients.
Desney has extensive experience in the fields of assessment for development, recruitment and selection and assessment of potential. She has designed and delivered development centres for emerging leaders through to executive levels. As an experienced executive coach she provides services at all levels of leadership (senior managers, SES Band 1’s, Band 2’s and a Deputy Chief Executive in government; GM’s and C- suite executives) and her wide experience includes banking and finance, emergency services, legal and education, defence, and many more. Her coaching approach is informed by behavioural psychology and a deep understanding of the challenges and stressors encountered by senior executives,
Desney is also an experienced as a facilitator, designing and delivering leadership development programs and has particular experience facilitating programs for women in leadership and mid to senior level leadership development programs. Her combination of Organisational Psychology and business and financial markets background provide a unique knowledge base for working with senior executives.
