    Jamie Sims

    COO & Director

Jamie Sims is a People Measures owner/director and a registered psychologist with over 20 years’ experience in assessing, debriefing, coaching and facilitating with leaders from CEO/Secretary level to high potentials across the Public, Private and the not-for profit sectors.

Originally from the UK, Jamie arrived in Australia in 1989 and after a brief career as a psychologist clinician, worked in a NSW government agency before her keen interest in assessment and measurement saw her recruited to consulting role at Right Management where she lead the Talent Assessment portfolio for Australia and New Zealand. During her time at Right Management Jamie built strong relationships with a wide range of clients particularly in Commonwealth and State government departments. At People Measures Jamie has continued her strong relationships with public sector leaders and has also built strong relationships with clients in the private and not for profit sectors. While still very much engaged in talent identification Jamie has continued to build on her strong facilitation, coaching and leadership development skills.

Jamie is an experienced executive coach and finds it particularly rewarding to unlock the potential of female leaders who, when they exercise leadership, do so in a way that often creates significant impact and produces tangible and sustainable results for them and their organisations. Jamie shares the People Measures philosophy related to executive coaching. That is, coaching needs to be engaging, practical, results focused, and relevant to the development needs of the individual. In addition, a clear understanding of required outcomes between the coach, the coachee and the sponsoring organisation is critical. Jamie coaching approach is underpinned by her ability to integrate her psychology background and keen interest in contemporary leadership frameworks and adult development and learning theories and models. Her coaching process is both structured and emergent, evidence-based and outcome focused.

Jamie keeps up to date by actively engaging in continuous professional development and ongoing coaching supervision with her peers. She is an accredited supervisor and regularly supervises students from Deakin and Macquarie Universities. Jamie is currently an adjunct lecturer at the University of Macquarie.
