Frances Feenstra

Frances is one of the two people who founded People Measures in 2006. In 2023 she decided to step back a little and has worked with People Measures as an Associate Director since July 2023. She is a registered organisational psychologist with more than 25 years’ experience and core expertise in leadership development and facilitation, talent management and assessment, and executive coaching. She has designed and delivered a range of highly successful programs and services for leading Australian organisations both in the public and private sector and has worked with staff at all levels, from the most senior executives to frontline employees.

Prior to People Measures, Frances worked as a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she led the establishment of a talent assessment and development consulting team. During her time at PwC she also established Symmetry, PwC’s network for women. She has worked as a lecturer in the Organisational Psychology course at Deakin University and holds an adjunct faculty position as a supervisor and examiner for postgraduate research students.

Passionate about leadership development and focused on helping all individuals be the best they can be, Frances is well known for her focus on diversity and inclusion. She has an especially deep understanding of the challenges and stressors encountered by women in the workplace and was the driver and principal designer of People Measures’ highly regarded Women in Leadership Development (WILD) program, and StepUp, a program designed for men who want to be true allies for women in organisations.

Frances was a founder and the inaugural Chair of The 100% Project, a not for profit organisation which aims to increase opportunities for women to take up senior leadership positions. She also chaired the Advisory Board for the Australian Centre for Research into Employment and Work (ACREW) at Monash University, and she was instrumental in the establishment of the Australian Adaptive Leadership Institute (AALI). She was a board director of AALI until June 2023 and was a member of the AALI Adjunct Faculty for the 2023 Master Class.

Frances loves her garden, walks with the dog on the beach, and boating in Europe.
