CAREER MANAGEMENT AND ASSESSMENT CENTRES

Between 2009 and 2012 People Measures delivered 14 Career Management Assessment Centres (CMACs) for direct reports (General Manager and ‘head of’ level) to the leadership team of the Group Strategy & Finance, National Australia Bank. The outcomes from the CMACs were used to
determine talent bench strength in the function as well as identify strengths
and development needs for individual participants. Each CMAC involved a one day assessment component and a half day integration session, followed by a 2.5 hour debrief with each participant.

A significant number of the Group Strategy & Finance leadership team were trained and subsequently worked on the programs as assessors and observers. Internally the CMAC process has been evaluated as being highly successful and has led to a significant number of movements by participants into more senior roles.
